This fast-paced documentary is funny, poignant, provocative, and always powerfully real. 'Six' features a diverse collection of individuals telling six-word stories from their own deeply personal experiences of being LGBTQ. The stories are woven together to create a spoken-word poem of what it means to be human, gay or straight.
Six has a run time of 12 minutes and features over 100 stories by 43 LGBTQ individuals ranging in age from 19 to 86.
The six-word story genre evolved from a legend about Ernest Hemingway in which he was challenged to write the shortest possible story. He responded with "For sale: baby shoes, never worn" winning the bet in 6 words.
